The Clyde Naval Heritage project was created by Mr David O’Neill and his team of dedicated individuals who have a passion for preserving and celebrating the rich shipbuilding history of the River Clyde. The team is comprised of a mix of experienced professionals from a variety of sectors including the Royal Navy, commercial sector and the charity sector.
The project was created to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving the history of naval shipbuilding , past and present. The team recognised the need for a dedicated initiative to celebrate and showcase the region’s links to the Royal Navy and commercial shipbuilding.
We are committed to engaging with local communities, businesses, and institutions to raise awareness of the importance in celebrating the rich history of the River Clyde. The project is a collaborative effort, and the team works closely with partners and stakeholders across the UK and Pakistan.
HMS Ambuscade/PNS Tariq is hopefully the first vessel as we launch this new Clyde Naval Heritage site.
